This photo was taken on Sunday 29th July 2001.  It is of  me Steve Rigby walking up the ladder to get into a  Russian Mir submersible on my way to the Titanic.  This was something I had dreamt about for many, many years ever since the wreck of the Titanic was discovered back in 1985.

                                        

This is Brigitte Saar who also went to the wreck in 1998.

This is the story of our journeys taken from our diaries in 1998 and 2001 using over a 100 images from those dives – we hope you enjoy it just as much as we did.  We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those who allowed us to use allowed us to their images to complete this project and publish our journal.  Read our diaries with mixed emotions of fear and excitement before during and after our dives to 2.5 miles to and from the Titanic.
